Faculty of Nursing -TIU was honored to invite Dr Media Abdulla and Mrs. Parez Shahab, Pediatric Specialty, Ministry of Health/DOH Erbil Governorate as industry guest.
On 3/5/2026 and 10/5/2026, a two-day educational workshop was successfully conducted at Raperin Teaching Hospital for the 3rd and 4th grade nursing students at Tishk International University. The workshop was presented by the respected Dr. Media Abdullah, a pediatric specialist, along with Mrs. Parez Shahab, holder of a higher diploma. The workshop was held under the title “Understanding CPAP Device in Patient Care”
The workshop was structured into two main sections. The first was a theoretical session, during which the scientific principles, clinical indications, and benefits of using the CPAP device in pediatric patient care were thoroughly explained. This was followed by a practical session that focused on hands-on training, allowing students to directly practice the use, setup, and monitoring of the CPAP device under professional supervision.
The primary aim of this workshop was to enhance both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of nursing students, enabling them to provide more effective and confident care for children suffering from respiratory problems. The workshop also emphasized the importance of proper device handling, patient safety, and teamwork in clinical settings, contributing to the overall professional development of the participating students.
