Scientific Trip to Safeen Water Company

As part of the Department of Nursing’s continuous effort to integrate theoretical learning with real-world public health practices, fourth grade nursing students conducted an educational field visit to Safeen Water Company on (____) under the supervision of Dr. Sangar.

The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of water safety, purification processes, and quality control standards, which are vital components of community health and disease prevention. Students were given a detailed tour of the facility, where they observed each stage of water filtration, sterilization, and packaging. The company’s technical staff also provided explanations on laboratory testing procedures used to ensure water safety for public consumption.

This activity directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6): Clean Water and Sanitation, which emphasizes the importance of safe and affordable drinking water for all. By engaging in this field experience, our students strengthened their awareness of the role of healthcare professionals in promoting environmental health, preventing waterborne diseases, and advocating for safe water resources in the community.

The Department of Nursing extends its appreciation to Safeen Water Company for their hospitality and valuable contribution to student learning, and to Dr. Sangar for his guidance in facilitating this academic visit.
