School Health Environment Community Project 2022-2023

Schools play a crucial role in developing and supporting children as they grow and learn. Every educator, parent, administrator, and member of the school staff wants students to thrive academically and develop the readiness, skills, and knowledge they will need as adults.

While health and physical education (HPE) classes are an essential component of school wellness, the data shows that these courses alone cannot give students the solid foundation they need to live physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally healthy lives.

We can prepare kids for success in the classroom and beyond by creating healthy learning environments, for that reason, the Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University organized a scientific trip for fourth-grade students to Sasan and Avin Preparatory schools under the community project (School Health Environment) from October 17th 2022    to November 27th 2022. Students were supervised by Dr. Sangar A. Muhamad, Mr. Goran N. Saleh, and Mrs. Shinway Bakhtyar.

The headmaster of the schools welcomed the participating staff and students. He gave a tour of the school and explained each section of it. This tour sought to improve students’ social, psychological, and physical well-being throughout the school. As part of our faculty’s requirement, each student prepared a seminar on various issues such as hygiene and hand washing, health food, and keeping the environment clean to be presented to the students and distributed brochures on.
