Seminar: “Recent Aspects of Alzheimer’s Disease” by Professor Dr. Hiwa Banna
On 31st October 2024, the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University (TIU), organized a seminar entitled “The Latest Developments in Alzheimer’s Disease.” The seminar’s purpose was to bring participants up to date with recent discoveries relating to Alzheimer’s disease by underlining various milestones that have been reached in understanding diagnosis and possible prevention of this debilitating disease. This was indeed a useful update not only for faculty members and students but also for health professionals.
The most recent scientific developments, challenges, and opportunities regarding Alzheimer’s disease were all explained during this seminar by its leader, Professor Dr. Hiwa Banna, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at TIU. As Dr. Banna is one of the most advanced professionals in the research field of Alzheimer’s, he insisted on the importance of early detection. He explained several new approaches toward treatment and prevention. The audience enjoyed his enthusiasm for popularizing the topic of healthcare research.
The event, held in Hall 302 of the Education Building at TIU, was attended by its faculty and students, along with other professionals from and outside the campus interested in Alzheimer’s disease and healthcare developments. The participants became more aware of the disease and benefited greatly from Dr. Banna’s expertise, while seminars may encourage further research and innovation in healthcare practices within TIU.
