Seminar: Pulmonary Function Test – Enhancing Clinical Understanding for Nursing Students

As part of its ongoing efforts to connect academic learning with real-world clinical practice, the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University organized an insightful seminar on November 27, 2025, titled “Pulmonary Function Test.”
The seminar was delivered by M.Sc. Newroz Ghazi, who participated as the department’s second industry guest, providing students with valuable professional perspectives from the healthcare sector.

The session covered the fundamental principles of pulmonary function testing, including clinical indications for performing PFTs and the interpretation of essential respiratory parameters. The presenter also shared practical clinical examples that illustrated the importance of pulmonary assessment in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions.

The seminar was highly interactive, with fourth-grade nursing students actively engaging through questions and discussions. The activity provided an enriching learning experience and supported students’ academic and clinical development by deepening their understanding of respiratory assessment tools used in modern healthcare.

This seminar represents another successful step toward strengthening the connection between Tishk students and industry professionals, enhancing students’ readiness for clinical practice and professional growth.
