Paediatric First Aid Training Course
As children are known for being curious and miniature detectives, they are more prone to encounter emergencies throughout their lives. For this reason, parents should be at least somewhat knowledgeable about basic first aid in order to preserve the safety of their kids and prevent subsequent health difficulties. The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a Paediatric First Aid Training Course, held over the course of six days, from September 17th to September 24th, under the title: Learn First Aid as a Parent to Save Your Kids.
The first day of the training course commenced with an opening address delivered by the Head of Department Dr. Dara Abdulla Al-Banna, in which he provided a concise introduction to the importance of first aid, particularly in the context of children. The training sessions were conducted by three accomplished trainers: Assistant Professor Dr. Shukir Hasan, who holds a Ph.D. in Pediatric Nursing, BSc. Asmaa Yaseen and BSc. Shaimaa Shahab, graduates in Nursing Science. Notably, 33 participants successfully completed the training course.
