International Brain Tumor Awareness Week is observed annually on October 29th to November 5th. A brain tumor is a mass or development of abnormal cells in your brain that causes symptoms such as headaches and nausea.
There are several distinct forms of brain tumors. The majority of brain tumors are noncancerous — benign — although a small number of brain tumors are cancerous — malignant. Brain tumors can begin to develop in the brain or other body parts and spread to the brain, often called secondary or metastatic brain tumors. Based on this international day, the Head of Nursing Department at Tishk International
University, Dr. Dara Abdulla Al-Banna (Adult Nursing) and the faculty staff presented a seminar about the awareness and orientation methods of Brain Tumors. The seminar was held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Education Building- Seminar Hall No.302. The participants included academic and administrative staff, research assistants, and nursing students
