Medical Procedures – Training course

The Medical Procedures Training Course held on 27/10 – 31/10 – 2024, Essential materials were provided by Mr.Hilal Farouq, an ACLS provider authorised by the American Heart Association, which focused on developing essential skills in cannulation, injections, and phlebotomy for healthcare professionals. Combining theoreticalknowledge with hands-on practice, the course emphasized infection control, anatomical landmarks, and troubleshooting complications. Participants were enhanced their confidence and competence in performing venous access procedures, ultimately improving patientcare.

The following goals were demonstrated by the participants at the end of the course.

1. Describe the principles and techniques of cannulation, injections, and phlebotomy.

2. Demonstrate proper aseptic technique and perform each procedure safely.

3. Identify and manage complications associated with these procedures.

4. Apply best practices for patient safety and comfort.

5. Complete practical assessments to demonstrate competency in each skill.
