Mawlood Al Nabawi Celebration

A special celebration of Mawlood Al Nabawi was organized by the nursing department at Tishk International University on March 7, 2024. The event focused on celebrating the role and accomplishments of women in Islamic culture. The presentation, which was titled “The Status of Women in Islam,” was given by Dr. Srwa Rostam, an academic staff member in the nursing department. Ms. Shaimaa Shahab, a research assistant in the nursing department, hosted the event. This event offered a special chance to honor the significant women in the Prophet’s life, such as his wife Khadija and daughter Fatimah, and to consider his teachings on the respect, dignity, and rights of women.

The event’s main themes were women’s empowerment, which highlights the achievements of Muslim women throughout history, and gatherings where stories of the Prophet’s respect and care for women are shared. These celebrations not only commemorate the birth of the Prophet but also serve to inspire and uplift women, promoting a message of equality and respect that is deeply rooted in the Islamic faith.

Finally, ladies gathered outdoors for a cake-cutting ceremony to cap off the celebration, which included enjoying the accomplishments over coffee breaks.
