Mawlid al-Nabawi Celebration

In the holy month of Mawlid al-Nabawi, which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University  (TIU) held a celebration on the 23rd of October 2024. The ceremony started with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Saman Burhan and was followed by a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Hiwa Banna, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, in which the holiness of this month the importance of Mawlid al-Nabi amongst the Islamic nation were highlighted. Celebrations are conducted in various forms across different nations, aiming to commemorate the life of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), who was sent as mercy upon mankind.

During the Mawlid al-Nabi celebration, Dr. Sangar Hassan presented an insightful session on “The structure of education in the era of the Prophet  (PBUH). His presentation clarified the fundamental teaching methods and principles set out by the Prophet, highlighting the ageless ethics of learning and knowledge that still serve as an inspiration for educational systems today.

A special performance was held, creating spiritual environment, enjoyed by both staff and students, where gifts, and desserts of different sorts were distributed amongst the participants and attendees of the occasion. A total of 45 participants joined the event, comprising of both staff and students at the Faculty of Nursing at TIU.
