International Nurses Day

On May 18, the Nursing Department held its first international Nurses Day Festival in honor of International Nurses Day on May 12. Every year, nurses all over the world celebrate this day. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), nurses make up 67% of all healthcare providers all over the world. For 2023, WHO will celebrate Nurses Day under the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future “.

In addition to this special day, Tishk International University’s Nursing Department organized a special event to celebrate nursing students on this special day.

  “Our Students, Our Future” was our theme for that day, with our students providing a special activity and organizing the event. They’re trying to show their skills and raise awareness regarding some up to date issues, and educate the non-medical students. First Aid for (Choking, CPR, Seisure, and Burn) – First Aid Kite at Home – Diabetic, Healthy Food During Pregnancy, May Greens , Personal Hygiene ,20 20 20 Rule (Eye Protection Strategy).

Opened the event and tour of the tents and supported students as well as congratulated them on their special day.
