On World Children’s Day (1 June 2026), the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University organized a community outreach project in collaboration with Rapareen Teaching Hospital.

As part of this initiative, Ms. Shaimaa Shahab a research assistant at Faculty of Nursing  delivered an educational seminar for parents entitled “First Aid Education for Parents of Children The seminar aimed to enhance parents’ knowledge and awareness of essential first-aid measures for common children emergencies, thereby promoting child health and safety within the community.

During the event, the children actively participated and were presented with gifts by Dr. Mahmood Mohammed Sadiq, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere that highlighted the success of the initiative.

In recognition of her valuable contributions, Ms. Shaimaa Shahab was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Dr. Mahmood Mohammed Sadiq, Manager of Raparin Teaching Hospital.

This successful collaboration reflects the ongoing commitment of both the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University and Raparin Teaching Hospital to community service, health education, and the promotion of children’s well-being.
