Memory Matters: Understanding and Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease
The academic seminar organized by the Faculty of Nursing on 21 September 2025 is called Memory Matters: Understanding and Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease. The seminar was held at 10:00 AM on Hall 308, Education Building, and it was conducted by Miss Zaynab Yaseen Ahmed.
The lecture gave a very detailed summary of the biological background and risk factors of the Alzheimer disease. The unequal effects of the condition on women were particularly highlighted, and the most recent achievements in prevention methods and treatment approaches based on the recent academic research. The seminar has also highlighted the value of early diagnosis and lifestyle changes as major preventive measures in preserving cognitive ability.
Academic staffs and students were present throughout the session and this played a part in an informed discourse regarding the implication of the Alzheimer disease on the healthcare practice and society as a whole. Faculty of Nursing recognizes the great role of Miss Zaynab Yaseen Ahmed and thanks all the participants of this academic event.
