Women’s Day Celebration
In light of International Women’s Day, a special celebration was organized by the Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University (TIU) on March 7th, 2024. The event focused on celebrating the role and accomplishments of women in Islamic culture. Hosted by Ms. Shaimaa Shahab, the event featured Dr. Srwa Rostam presenting “The Status of Women in Islam,” highlighting influential women like Khadija and Fatimah. Themes of women’s empowerment and the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings on women’s respect were emphasized. The celebration concluded outdoors with a cake-cutting ceremony, reflecting on achievements and promoting equality and respect.
