6th Spring festival – Heroin in nursing

Tishk International University successfully held its 6th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science on March 08, 2023. The festival, which was organized by the Dean of Students, centered around the theme of Women Empowerment.

The event was started by the speech of Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the board of trustees, who delivered a speech on the significance of this event.

The festival featured over 25 tents dedicated to the scientific aspect of the event, providing participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in various fields. The scientific tent was highly competitive, with NURSING taking SECOND place among all of departments and faculties. The nursing faculty project was about SUPPORTING HEROINE IN NURSING, which mentioned the first modern woman leader in nursing” FLORENCE NIGHTENGALE“, the first nurse in the Islamic era, “RUFAIDA AL-ASLAMIA, and modern Nursing today. The students explained the challenges of nursing in the past, how they handled them and improved them, how we can support women in the nursing field. We had a social media challenge under the title “Support Heroine in Nursing” and a scan code brochure about the awareness of women’s support in various fields. This project supervised by Dr. Dara Abdulla Al-Banna, Mrs. Asmaa Yaseen Mawlood and Mr. Hilal Farouq, and the students who run the project: Suhaib Sabir, Marwa Saadi, Rayan Qasm, Saya Hussein, Bahar Abdulhadi, Hanan Mazn.

Also, more than 35 tents were erected to display other nations and their distinctive traditions. The nursing department chose Kazakhstan and showcased a variety of aspects of this nation, including their traditional cuisine, students dressed in their national attire, their flag, and the ladies who run this nation. In addition to scientific and cultural tents, the festival featured over 25 special tents dedicated to handmade accessories created by disabled women and housewife women.

To add to the festive atmosphere, over 20 tents for food fundraising were set up, with all proceeds going to charity.

A variety of entertainment options were also available to participants, including horse shows and riding, as well as various games and activities. More than 7,000 people from various backgrounds attended the festival, including students, academics, and members of the public, and enjoyed the diverse range of activities on offer.

In conclusion, the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science, which had the theme Women Empowerment, was a great success because of the organizers’ tireless work and the guests’ eager participation. In addition to stressing the value of women’s empowerment in society, the event highlighted the vast diversity of language, culture, and science from around the world. Participants may share knowledge and ideas, enjoy entertainment, and show off their skills thanks to the different tents and activities. The charity fundraising effort was a prime example.
