Mawlid al-Nabawi Celebration

On October 23, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University (TIU) held a celebration for Mawlid al-Nabawi, which commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Saman Burhan. This was followed by a welcoming speech from Dr. Hiwa Banna, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, who highlighted the holiness of the month and the significance of the Prophet among the Islamic nation. Celebrations for Mawlid al-Nabawi aim to commemorate the life of the Prophet, who was sent as a mercy to mankind.

During the event, Dr. Sangar Hassan presented an insightful session on “The structure of education in the era of the Prophet (PBUH).” His presentation focused on the fundamental teaching methods and principles set out by the Prophet, highlighting the timeless ethics of learning that continue to inspire educational systems today.

The celebration, which included both staff and students, featured a special performance, gift distribution, and a variety of desserts.
