Visit Your Future 2022-2023<\/h4>\n

Visit Your Future Event was held by the Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University (TIU) for high school students in the 12th grade. The event was held from the 14th-16th of February 2022. The purpose of this event was to provide prospective students with an opportunity to see and experience our university firsthand, as well as to assist them in deciding what they wanted to study. It also aimed to give prospective university students a chance to discover more about campus life and acquire details about the faculties and programs offered at TIU.<\/p>\n

In light of this event, selected high school visits were conducted to invite students to the event by a group of faculty staff including Mr. Goran Nuri, Mr. Ismail Khalied and Ms. Hanna Azad. They visited many schools across Erbil city including Gara High School, Zhin Girl High School, Ishik High School, and Twana High School to encourage students to visit TIU and join Visit Your Future. The Faculty of Nursing staff distributed brochures to all 12-grade classes and explained that they can visit TIU from February 13th to February 16th, 2023, 09:30 AM to 03:00 PM to have a campus tour and learn more about the university under the supervision of our staff.<\/p>\n

Each student was enrolled and given a notepad and stationery to use while taking notes throughout the event. This was followed by a tour of all of our faculty, labs, and facilities on campus. Mr. Ismail Khalid and Mrs. Renas Salim received visiting students and help tour them around the campus. Mr. Goran and Ms. Hanan also had a booth set up with pertinent posters to provide guests with background information on nursing. Ms. Shaimaa Shahab, Mr. Hilal Faruoq, and Mrs. Asmaa Yaseen were present in the nursing laboratory to meet them and offer them gifts provided by the nursing faculty.<\/p>\n

1350 students visited TIU during this event. The Dean of Students at TIU organized two lotteries that were held during the event: one for students, and one for schools. To motivate our next generation, students had the opportunity to win a laptop, tablet, and smartwatch, and schools had a chance to obtain a desktop and two printers.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Hiwa Banna, and Head of Nursing Department Dr. Dara Abdulla Al-Banna, we would like to express our gratitude to all staff members and organizers of this event, as well as for their quality and exceptional presentation throughout the open days hosted. We would also want to thank all of the schools for their assistance and look forward to future collaborations.<\/p>\n
