Shukir Hasan<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Covid-19 is an acute disease in humans caused by a coronavirus,<br \/>\nwhich is characterized mainly by fever and cough to severe symptoms and in some<br \/>\ncases death, especially in older people and those with underlying health conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Aim:<br \/>\nthe study aimed to identify the incidence and explore COVID-19 in Erbil city. Method<br \/>\nand patients: A quantitative, descriptive design was conducted.<br \/>\nnon-probability sampling was used to recruit 25 suspected during the period starting<br \/>\nfrom 19 September 2021 to the end of 15 May 2022, were recruited to the study,<br \/>\ndiagnosed and who were admitted to the Raparin Teaching Hospital were recruited. The<br \/>\nSPSS version 23 software was used to analyze the data by using frequency and<br \/>\npercentage, Chi-Square to identify the association between the variables.<br \/>\nResults: the incidence of COVID-19 during this period was 0.05 patients, and the study<br \/>\nfound that most patients 68% were male, 68% had another affected family member,<br \/>\n64% were aged more than or equal to 8 to months, and 68% age of mothers were<br \/>\nbetween (36-44).<br \/>\n92% of patients have a fever, 52% of patients have tiredness, 52% of patients have chest<br \/>\npain, 68% of patients have a sore throat, more than half of patients have nausea, 80% of<br \/>\npatients have vomiting, (64%)patients have skin rash, 88% patients have muscle pain,<br \/>\nmost patients have diarrhea, 80% patients have fatigue, 68% patients don\u2019t lose of<br \/>\ntaste,68% patients lose of the smell, 68% patients have chills, 72% patients don\u2019t have<br \/>\nshortness of breath, tiredness, and sometimes complained of nausea and vomiting.<br \/>\nConclusions and recommendation: the study found that the incidence of COVID-19<br \/>\namong children was within the normal range, the study recommended to a<br \/>\ncomprehensive study, with a large sample and in different areas.
