Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University recently held a social community project on Monday & Wednesday, 16 & 18 December 2024, for 2 High Schools Entitled (The Essential Responsibilities of First Aid Providers in Emergency Situations for the Community) & ( First Aid for Injuries and Accidents)
The 1st seminar, which was held on 16 December 2024, was presented by Ms. Shaimaa Shahab, a Research Assistant in the Faculty of Nursing, for Nanakaly High School.The presentation aimed to raise awareness and provide attendees with the critical knowledge and skills required to address emergency situations in the community.
During the seminar, attendees gained a thorough understanding of crucial issues such as identifying emergency situations and recognizing them. It also focused on the Ethical and Legal requirements of first aid providers. It also included interactive discussion.
The 2nd seminar, which was held on 18 December 2024, was presented by Mr. Ismail Khalid & Mohammed Harem, who are Research Assistants in the Faculty of Nursing, for Ishik & Nilufer Schools. A seminar on “First Aid for Injuries and Accidents” emphasized the importance of life-saving skills in schools, teaching participants how to handle common emergencies like cardiac arrest, fractures, choking, and bleeding. The event aimed to foster a culture of safety and preparedness, empowering school communities to respond effectively to accidents and protect lives.
Tishk International University’s project demonstrates its dedication to community education and development by providing content and chances for individuals to develop emergency response skills.
