International Brain Tumour Awareness Week
International Brain Tumor Awareness Week is observed annually on October 29th to November 5th.
A brain tumour is a mass or development of abnormal cells in your brain that causes symptoms such as headaches and nausea. There are several distinct forms of brain tumours. The majority of brain tumours are noncancerous — benign — although a small number of brain tumours are cancerous — malignant.
Brain tumours can begin to develop in the brain or other body parts and spread to the brain, often called secondary or metastatic brain tumours.
Based on this international day, the Head of the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University, Dr. Dara Abdulla Al-Banna (Adult Nursing) and faculty staff will present a seminar about the awareness and orientation methods of Brain Tumours. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Education Building- Seminar Hall No. 302.
Your Participation is highly appreciated.
